Perran-ar-worthal Village Memorial Hall

Christmas Concert

A big thank you to everyone that supported the Christmas Concert. The evening raised £520 for Cornwall Hospices, and an excellent time was had by all.

Film Night anyone?

The Village Hall Management Committee are considering the above as a social event for parishoners. However, before we proceed we need to guage any possible level of interest. All films would be professionally shown as we would make use of the facilities offered by Carn to Cove, experienced in bringing theatrical and film productions to many village halls across Cornwall. We can also source films from the vast library of Film Bank. As well as having a library that goes back to the 1920's they are also able to provide current films for screening that are not yet available on DVD.

So, we need to hear from you, do we have enough prospective punters in the parish (anticipated ticket cost would be around £4-00), and do we have interest from people willing to roll up their sleeves and give up some time to organise this event?

Of course such an event does not have to be held in the evening. Does anyone remember saturday club at their local Odeon? When I lived in Birmingham this was a great opportunity to empty the house of kids and congregate at the local cinema where we would enjoy a few cartoons a St Trinians film, and a fascinating National Geographic or similar feature.

Please let us know your level of interest, you can do so by phoning Mike Cowley on 863758, email film@pvmh.org.uk or leave your comments in the post box on the outside of the village hall.

Guidelines on bookings now available as a pdf file.
